
Teaching units:
The teaching units are the main focus of the programme. The aim of the teaching units is to provide an overview of the different aspects of sustainable development with the focus on renewable energy sources. Sustainable tourism will be also one aspect. The knowledge which has been gained in these lectures will be enhanced through group work. The teaching language is English. The International Summer School programme is a 5 ECTS-credit module.

Excursions:
Visits to projects and companies related to the topic are an integral part of our International Summer School. The excursions support the contents of the lectures and will give the students the opportunity to experience sustainable development hands-on.

Topics
Language course:
The language course will provide participants with the opportunity to either learn basic vocabulary of German (beginner level) or to expand their knowledge of the German language (intermediate level).
Social activities:
The International Summer School at Hochschule Harz offers not only sophisticated teaching units but also a broad variety of cultural and social activities. Besides the opportunity to explore the vibrant capital of Germany, Berlin, during a weekend trip, there a plenty of other trips and events with loads of things to do and see, e.g. Autostadt Wolfsburg, traditional German brewery.
