Intermediary between business administration and technology
With us you will learn everything an industrial engineer needs to know about business and technology. In addition, we prepare you for the social challenges of your career: teamwork abilities and leadership competence are also important aspects of the programme.
Find your own personal direction through the selection of a professional field orientation (e.g. Logistics Management or Change Management) and a technical field of study.
Study internationally
The Harz University of Applied Sciences is one of the few educational institutions in Germany at which you can also study Business Administration and Engineering internationally. For your career, make use of an integrated semester studying abroad at one of our partner universities in Ireland, Estonia, Spain or New Zealand.
Through the German-Chinese University (CDHAW) there is the possibility of obtaining a double degree together with the Tongji University in Shanghai.
From practical work to real-world situations
Your degree programme will have a high percentage of practical sessions such as laboratory work, exercises and team projects. In our highly modern laboratories you will work on tasks which, in some cases, have been set by real companies. The teaching groups are small, so that we can provide you with your own laboratory place whenever it is scheduled in the programme.
Length of programme and degree obtained
The normal study period is seven semesters. After the second semester you select a field of study:
After successfully completing the programme you obtain the degree Bachelor of Engineering (B. Eng.). This degree offers you a direct start in a wide variety of career possibilities or the chance to continue studying in a master's degree programme.

Our graduates work in small and medium-sized businesses, and also in large internationally orientated companies; they stay in the region or move further afield.
Many graduates successfully complete a master's degree at a well-known university.
The employment opportunities are as varied as the degree programme itself. The following areas are, however, often represented:
