HelpDesk

The Helpdesk of the IT Service Centre is the central contact point for all IT-relevant enquiries within the Harz University of Applied Sciences. Help is provided promptly, or the enquiries are passed on to the specialist departments of the IT Service Centre if necessary. The Helpdesk can be reached both via the Service Ticket System and via the Hotline (answering machine).

What is the STS?

The STS offers the possibility to automatically send requests, applications and fault messages concerning the IT infrastructure and services via a ticket. The incoming tickets can be accessed by several employees of the IT Service Centre, enabling your request to be quickly assigned to the appropriate employee, who will then contact you as soon as possible.

 

How do I use it?

Go to the website of the STS and click on "Create new ticket". Classify your problem and describe it as precisely as possible. Then click "Submit". Furthermore, there are forms available in the STS. If you would like to apply for something, click on "Applications" and select the appropriate form.

CH!P

What is the CH!P?

CH!P is the on-site help for students with any IT questions and problems.

 

How do I use it?

The CH!P website shows the opening hours. When open, you can personally come by (room 4.216  in house 4), call (+49 3943 659 195) or write an e-mail (chip(at)hs-harz.de).

 

For which problems do I use it?

Problems with software (Office, Windows, Linux, ...), WLAN (client) and hardware (repair of laptops, Apple devices and smartphones, soldering, etc.).

Hotline

What is the Hotline?

The Hotline is an assistance service of the IT Service Centre and can be used as an alternative to the Service Ticket System. Your question will be recorded and then assigned to an employee for processing.

 

How do I use it?

Call the following number: +49 3943 659 911 and describe your problem.

 

For which problems do I use it?

In case of problems and malfunctions regarding services of the IT Service Centre.

 

Who is currently occupying the hotline?

During the service hours (Mon - Thu 9:00 - 15:30 and Fri 9:00 - 13:00) you can contact a member of the IT Service Centre staff via the hotline who will take your request. Outside service hours, the hotline is manned by an answering machine. However, it can still be used at any time.

 

 

Behind the HelpDesk are all employees of the IT Service Centre. Incoming questions and problems are assigned to the appropriate employee.
