StuRa - Student Council

The Student Council, StuRa (german: Studierendenrat) for short, is an independent and non-partisan body of the Harz University of Applied Sciences. Its 13 student members are elected annually by the students on the Wernigerode and Halberstadt campuses.

The aim of the StuRa is to represent the interests and concerns of all students and to actively participate in the political and cultural organization of university life. Furthermore, in cooperation with supra-regional student councils, it contributes to positively influencing the general study situation.   At the same time, the StuRa is the superordinate body of all student initiatives and is responsible for the fair distribution of student contributions and state subsidies. In this way, events and projects of the initiatives, but also of other student groups, are supported financially, personnel-wise and ideologically.

Would you like to learn more about us, support us actively or do you have a suggestion how to improve life at the Harz University of Applied Sciences? Just talk to us on campus or come by our StuRa office! We are looking forward to meeting you!
