The Deutschlandstipendium of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMFTR) is intended to help committed and high-achieving students - like you - to succeed in their studies. Since the winter semester 2011/2012, the Deutschlandstipendium started to be available at the Harz University of Applied Sciences. In order to be able to enter the professional world in a goal-oriented and enjoyable way in the future, it is necessary to be able to concentrate on your studies and to master your personal challenges. And this is exactly what the Deutschlandstipendium is intended to encourage. Students from all the three faculties of the Harz University of Applied Sciences who demonstrate special achievements and social commitment are supported. Among other things, the progress of studies (ECTS / study points), above-average commitment or individual social circumstances are taken into account. The scholarship holders are sponsored by companies, associations or private individuals.
Information on the next funding period
The next funding period begins on September 1, 2026. The application period for this starts on March 1 and continues until April 30. Applications can only be submitted online. For more information on all aspects of the Deutschlandstipendium, please visit this page or the BMBF website. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at any time.
Curiosity, talent and a sense for responsibility should be encouraged. That is why the Deutschlandstipendium supports committed students in putting all their energy and enthusiasm into their studies and the projects around them. The funding period usually begins with the winter semester on September 1 of every year and lasts for 2 semesters, provided that all requirements allow it. The scholarship holders receive a monthly grant of 300 euros, independent of income, which does not have to be paid back. 150 euros come from one of our sponsors and 150 euros from the federal government. In addition to the financial support, the close contact with the sponsoring companies, associations and private individuals is a great opportunity: the growing professional network, insights into working practice as well as further cooperation and projects can be results from the Deutschlandstipendium.
