We are happy that you have identified one of our international students as particularly committed and high-performing, that you would like to nominate them for the DAAD Prize and that you are not afraid of the associated - though reasonable - effort.
We recommend that you get to know suitable students better through a personal interview or telephone call before nominating them and thus obtain in-depth information that can support your proposal, e.g. on their career, social or intercultural commitment and current life situation.
Along with the nomination, it is necessary to submit a number of documents proving that the selection criteria have been met. Essentially, you can obtain these from the nominated students.

If suitable students according to the above criteria have already exceeded the standard period of study, it is recommended that the letter of recommendation also briefly explains the reasons for the longer period of study.
