My research focuses on the management of public and nonprofit organizations in a dynamic environment. These dynamics arise, for example, from crises and disasters, as well as social and technological change. While I am always open to new research projects, my research interests fall into three main areas:
(1) Public management in times of crisis
(2) Interorganizational relationships
(3) Performance management
As part of my scholarly work, I serve as a reviewer for the journals Nonprofit and Voluntary Sector Quarterly, Nonprofit Management & Leadership, Public Administration Review, Public Management Review, Voluntas, and the Academy of Management Meeting.
