Das Projekt EPSILON, welches sich der Unterstützung von Data for Good Initiativen, Ehrenamtlichen und Non-profit Organisationen widmet, befindet sich auf der Zielgeraden. Das Projektteam nahm diesen Zeitpunkt zum Anlass, sich gemeinsam auf die letzten drei Arbeitsmonate sowie die Anfertigung des Abschlussberichtes vorzubereiten. Daher trafen sich am 21. und 22. Oktober 2024 Vertreterinnen und Vertreter aller Partnerorganisationen zum letzten physischen Austausch an der Hochschule Harz.
Die Projektbeteiligten, die aus Litauen, Portugal und Zypern anreisten, klärten gemeinsam mit der Projektkoordinatorin zunächst alle administrativen Fragen. Am zweiten Tag standen die Projektergebnisse im Fokus. Diese beinhalten neben einer Wissensplattform, einer vergleichenden Analyse europäischer Data for Good Inititiativen (D4G) und einer neuen D4G-Initiative in der baltischen Region auch Schulungsmaterialien. In den Gesprächen wurden alle Projektergebnisse zusammengeführt und die bedienungsfreundliche Darstellung auf der Wissensplattform diskutiert. Vor allem die finale Fertigstellung und die Analyse der Testdurchläufe der Lehr- und Lernmaterialien standen im Mittelpunkt der Diskussion.
Neben der intensiven inhaltlichen Arbeit bot ein kleines kulturelles Programm Gelegenheit zum interkulturellen Austausch und zur Stärkung der internationalen Zusammenarbeit. Alle weiteren Treffen werden nun wieder in Form der „monthly update calls“ rein virtuell stattfinden.

The EPSILON project, dedicated to supporting Data for Good initiatives, volunteers, and non-profit organizations, is nearing completion. The project team took this opportunity to prepare for the final three months of work and the creation of the final report. Therefore, from October 21st to October 22nd, 2024, representatives of all partner organizations met for the last in-person exchange at Harz University of Applied Sciences.
Colleagues from Lithuania, Portugal, and Cyprus first addressed administrative matters with the project coordinator. On the second day, the partners focused on the project results, which include a knowledge platform, a comparative analysis of European Data for Good (D4G) initiatives, a new D4G initiative in the Baltic region, and training materials. During the discussions, all project results were consolidated, and the user-friendly presentation on the knowledge platform was reviewed. A key topic of discussion was the finalization and analysis of the pilot runs of the teaching and learning materials.
In addition to the intensive content work, a small cultural program offered the opportunity for intercultural exchange and strengthening international collaboration. All further meetings will now take place virtually in the form of "monthly update calls."
