TeleCareXChange - we're looking for international partners to shape the future of nursing education

As societies across Europe face the growing challenges of aging populations and a shortage of qualified care professionals, the need for innovative, efficient, and inclusive solutions in nursing education has never been greater. The BMFTR-funded project TeleCareXChange, led by Harz University of Applied Sciences, addresses this urgent need by developing a cross-border partnership dedicated to the digital transformation of nursing education and caregiver training.

This initiative focuses on leveraging digital technologies - particularly the SmartProCare assistance system developed by Harz University - to enhance the education of nursing students, support the continuous training of healthcare professionals, and empower informal caregivers. The project builds on extensive research and successful pilot programs conducted in Germany, aiming to adapt and expand these innovations across Europe.

Harz University is currently seeking committed partners for a Cooperation Partnership application under the Erasmus+ programme (submission planned for March of 2026). Our goal is to form a strong, transnational consortium of higher education institutions, healthcare organizations, and digital learning experts who are eager to shape the future of nursing education through collaborative research, innovative pedagogical practices, and inclusive digital tools.

Please join us in creating sustainable and scalable solutions that will help meet the care needs of tomorrow - through digital excellence, international collaboration, and a shared commitment to education and well-being.

Let’s build this future together.
